Yevhenia Kononenko is a Ukrainian writer and translator born in 1959 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She writes novels, short stories, essays, and has authored a poetry collection and a children's book. Kononenko translates primarily from French and won the Mykola Zerov Award for her translation of an anthology of French sonnets. She is a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and the National Association of Ukrainian Writers, and has received several awards for her literary work.
