Yōichi Morishita (June 23, 1934 - December 18, 2016) was a Japanese businessman who played a pivotal role at Panasonic Corporation, serving as president and chairman. A former member of the Kansai Gakuin University volleyball team, he joined Panasonic through a sports recruitment program. His tenure included a controversial suggestion in 1995 to focus on CRT technology, which led to a delay in the company's entry into the LCD market. This decision contributed to Panasonic's eventual withdrawal from the LCD business in 2019.
