Yōichi Nōmura (1941-2017) was a prominent Japanese television producer known for his work in period dramas at Fuji TV. Born in Tokyo, he joined the station as an announcer after graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University. Transitioning to a producer role, he played a significant part in creating around 20 regular and 100 special period drama programs, earning awards for his contributions. Nōmura retired in 2011, continuing to consult on period dramas until his passing from kidney cancer in 2017.
