Yordan Kanev is a Bulgarian tennis player born on May 31, 1984, in Pazardzhik. He began training in tennis at the age of 7, guided by coach Mihail Kanev. As a junior player, he achieved notable success, reaching No. 9 in the world junior rankings in 2002 and making it to the quarter-finals of the junior French Open in 2001. He has two titles from the national doubles championships in 2004 and 2007 with partner Iliya Kushev and won the indoor national championship in doubles in 2008 with Tihomir Grozdanov. In 2011, he repeated his title alongside Iliya Kushev.
