Yūichi Sasamoto is a Japanese science fiction writer born on February 18, 1963. He is known for his award-winning works, including 'Hoshi no Pilot 2: Suiseikari' and 'Ariel,' which earned him Seiun Awards. In addition to his fiction, he has authored three non-fiction volumes titled 'Passport to the Universe.' Sasamoto also collaborated on the screenplay for the film 'Venus Wars' with Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. His work 'Miniskirt Pirates' was successfully adapted into an anime television series in 2012.
