Yukio Takasu is a notable Japanese diplomat who has held several significant positions, including the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Management. He served as Special Adviser on Human Security to the UN Secretary-General and as Advisor to the Japanese Foreign Minister. With academic ties to the University of Tokyo and currently teaching at Ritsumeikan University, Takasu also represented Japan at the UN in New York as Permanent Representative and held the role of President of the UN Security Council on two occasions.
