Yüksel Bozer was a notable Turkish physician and academic born on May 18, 1928, in Eskişehir. He graduated from TED Ankara College in 1946 and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1952. After becoming a general surgery specialist in 1957, he served as the chief of surgery at Hacettepe University Children's Hospital. Bozer held various academic and medical administration roles, including president of the Ankara Medical Chamber and vice-rector of Hacettepe University. He was appointed as the rector of Hacettepe University in 1982, serving until his retirement in 1995.
