She is originally from Saitama Prefecture and was a 70th-term student in the long-term jockey program at the Local Horse Racing Training Center. During her time as a jockey, her racing colors were red with blue stars and white sleeves. Her father, Eikichi Ushibusa, was her trainer, and her husband, Masanori Iriguchi, was also a former jockey at Urawa Racecourse.
