Yuri Chertok (born January 31, 1957) is a prominent Soviet and Russian player and coach in draughts (international draughts). He is a champion of the RSFSR and Kazakhstan in the years 1973, 1975, and a silver medalist at the World Mind Sports Games in London (1999). He holds the title of International Master since 1998 and is a respected coach in Russia. Chertok has significantly contributed to the promotion of draughts, being a co-founder of the Russian International Draughts Federation and an influential figure in establishing club systems for competitions in Russia.
