Yuri Khojamiryan was an Armenian scientist in the field of energy and automation, born on September 9, 1926, in Leninakan, Armenian SSR. He earned his Candidate of Technical Sciences degree in 1966 and became a professor in 1980. He was a member of the Armenian Scientific Academy and the Russian Academy of Sciences. Khojamiryan served as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Armenian SSR from 1983 to 1990. He was recognized as an Honorary Engineer by both the Armenian SSR in 1970 and the Russian Federation in 1993.
