Yuri Konstantinovich Skripkin (1929-2016) was a prominent Soviet and Russian medical scientist, dermatologist, educator, and public figure. An academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences from 1988, he contributed significantly to dermatovenereology and held various leadership roles, including head of the Central Research Institute of Dermatovenereology. He served as a professor at RSMU for about 40 years and was the head of the dermatological department. Recognized for his contributions, he was named a Merited Scientist of the Russian Federation in 1999.
