Yuriy Shchurovsky (April 28, 1927 – October 13, 1996) was a Soviet and Ukrainian composer and educator. He graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory in 1951 and its postgraduate program in 1954. Shchurovsky worked as an editor in Kyiv, a head of musical department at a choreographic school, and taught theoretical disciplines at the Kyiv Conservatory. Between 1958 and 1962, he taught in Kursk and performed creative concerts. He was a senior editor for a musical-pedagogical publishing house and composed ballets, symphonic works, and music for films.
