Yuriy Vladimirovich Ukhov was a Soviet and Russian choral conductor and educator, born on September 23, 1937, in Moscow. He served as the artistic director of the Yurlov Chapel from 1975 to 1981 and was the chief choirmaster of the Alexandrov Ensemble from 1995 until his death in 2007. Ukhov was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation in 2004. His contributions significantly impacted choral music in Russia.
