Yūshō Muranaka (May 15, 1932 - October 11, 2010) was a Japanese scholar of Chinese Buddhist thought and Tendai teachings. He served as the president of Taisho University and as the chief abbot of Tendai-shū Jishō-in in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture. Muranaka studied at the graduate school of Taisho University, where he completed his doctoral program in Buddhist studies. His research focused on the Tendai Hokke sect, earnestly contributing to the understanding of its philosophies.
