Yusuf Demirkol was a Turkish musician, known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and composer of the band Zakkum. Born in Ankara on January 3, 1980, he completed his high school education before moving to Cyprus in 1997. He returned to Turkey in 1999, and that same year co-founded Raindog, the band that would later be renamed Zakkum, with Cem Senyücel and Eren Parlakgümüş. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Ankara University and completed a master's program. Demirkol also served in the military in Mersin's Taşucu district in 2009.
