Yuzuru Sanematsu (November 20, 1902 - December 20, 1996) was a Japanese naval officer and author. He served as a secretary to the Minister of the Navy during the tenure of Admiral Mitzuo Yanai and was an assistant military attaché at the Embassy in the United States. Sanematsu was involved in intelligence analysis during World War II, concluding his military career as a naval colonel. After spending eleven and a half years in Sugamo Prison post-war, he focused on writing, publishing nearly 100 works primarily related to the navy.
