Yves Kreins is a Belgian lawyer born on June 18, 1952, in Sankt Vith. He served as the First President of the Belgian Council of State from 2014 to 2017, overseeing the highest administrative court in Belgium. Kreins was appointed as a councillor to the Council in 1991 and held the position of First President beginning on January 20, 2014. He has been involved in academic teaching as a lector at the Faculty of Law at the University of Liège since 1997, and he was the Secretary General of ACA Europe from 2000 to 2013.
