Yvonne Jeanne de Vibraye Baseden MBE was a notable British agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) who served in France during World War II. Born on January 20, 1922, she was one of around forty female SOE agents tasked with conducting espionage, sabotage, and reconnaissance against the Axis powers. Baseden collaborated with resistance groups in France, supplying them with essential weapons and equipment parachuted in from Britain. She was later known as Yvonne Burney and passed away on October 28, 2017.
