Z. A. Ahmed was a prominent Indian politician associated with the Communist Party of India, born on 29 October 1908. He played a significant role in the Congress Socialist Party during the 1930s and later served as Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Committee of the CPI. Ahmed also had a notable political career with four terms in the Rajya Sabha, concluding his service in 1994. His early political activities included a brief exile in Pakistan during the 1940s. Ahmed passed away on 22 February 1999.
