Zahida Zaidi (January 4, 1930 - January 11, 2011) was an Indian scholar, professor of English literature, poet, playwright, and literary critic. She authored over 30 books in Urdu and English, addressing social, psychological, and philosophical themes, and translated works of Chekhov, Pirandello, Beckett, Sartre, and O'Neill. Additionally, she directed several plays by Indian and Western authors in both Urdu and English. Her significant contributions to literature earned her recognition, including the Hum Sab Ghalib Award and the Kul Hind Bahadur Shah Zafar Award from the Ghalib Institute in Delhi.
