Zahirä Ğömärevä is a Tatar poet and children's writer, born on April 12, 1930, in the village of Chömä-Yelga, Tatarstan. A member of the Writers' Union of Tatarstan, she graduated from Kazan Pedagogical Institute in 1959. Zahirä worked as a teacher in primary classes at Iläbär Secondary School and later at Ézmä Secondary School. Her first poetry book, 'Yaşlek Tańy', dedicated to children, was published in 1964. She is also known for her short story collections including 'Çın Geroy' (1968) and 'Näni vraç' (1970).
