Zahra Bahrami (January 25, 1965 – January 29, 2011) was an Iranian-Dutch citizen executed in Iran after being convicted by the Islamic Revolutionary Court of drug trafficking. Her case sparked significant social controversy. She was arrested in December 2009 for participating in Ashura protests and faced charges related to national security. Following a police raid that discovered cocaine, opium, and fake passports in her home, she was accused of drug trafficking and being part of an international smuggling network, leading to her death sentence.
