She gained prominence following her arrest by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard while fleeing to Turkey on October 27, 2021. On September 4, 2022, she was sentenced to death alongside Elham Choubdar, a decision that drew significant international attention. While western media predominantly refer to her as Zahra Sedighi-Hamadani, Iranian networks often use her activist name, Sareh Mansouri.
