ZAK, the pseudonym of Jacques Moeraert, is a Belgian cartoonist born in Ghent on May 4, 1948. Initially a bookkeeper, he switched careers at age 25 to pursue cartooning. His work first appeared in the weekly magazine De Zwijger and later in various publications like De Morgen, De Volkskrant, and De Tijd. He is known for his ironic style and was the first Belgian to win the Dutch Inktspotprijs in 2001. ZAK also releases a ZAK-agenda annually.
