Zbigniew Kośmiński was a Polish poet and prose writer born on July 17, 1924, in Grabowiec near Iłża. He graduated with a degree in Polish philology from the Jagiellonian University, earning his doctorate in 1972 and habilitation in 1979. He served as an associate professor at the Teacher Education Institute in Lublin from 1977 to 1982. Kośmiński made his literary debut as a poet in the 'Sztandar Ludu' newspaper. He was also the director of the Zamość School of Fine Arts and the chief editor of Lubelskie Publishing. In 1986, he published a youth adventure novel titled 'Tajemny krąg'.
