Zdeněk Jiskra (born December 15, 1928, in Prague) is a Czech onomastician with a focus on hydronymy. Since the 1970s, he has published numerous influential works and academic articles in Czech and German, exploring the etymology of river names and settlements. He participated in onomastic seminars led by Vladimír Šmilauer in Prague and worked on a publication regarding European exonyms. From 1997, he authored four monographs in the series 'Hydronymia Bohemiae Occidentalis', published in Trutnov until 2006.
