Zdeněk Krček is a Czech Roman Catholic priest, dean in Polná, and papal chaplain. Born on February 18, 1961, in Hradec Králové, he spent his childhood in Bystré. After studying agricultural engineering and economics, he entered the theological seminary and was ordained a priest on September 28, 1996. Krček served as a parish vicar before becoming administrator in Polná. In 2009, he was appointed papal chaplain by Pope Benedict XVI and received an award for his efforts in restoring a local church.
