He graduated from the Secondary School of Health in Maribor and earned a degree in radiology engineering from the University of Ljubljana. In 2006, he obtained a Master's degree in science from the Faculty of State and European Studies at Nova University. He initially worked at the Health Center Dr. Adolf Drolc and later became a team leader at the University Clinical Centre in Maribor. He is also a founding member of the Maribor Lions Club.
