Zdzisław Szostak (January 13, 1930 - September 7, 2019) was a Polish conductor and composer born in Sosnowiec. He studied conducting under Artur Malawski and composition under Bolesław Szabelski at the Katowice Music Academy, graduating in 1955. He began his conducting career in 1950 and became assistant conductor of the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra in 1955. He later served as a second conductor and music director at the Poznań Philharmonic and as artistic director at the Łódź Philharmonic until 1987. Szostak also taught at the Łódź Academy of Music from 1972 to 2000.
