Fred Monroe "Zed" Coston was an American football center, born on July 12, 1915, and passing away on March 23, 2003. He played one season in the NFL after being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1939. Prior to his professional career, he was an all-state center at Crozier Tech High School and played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies for three years. His contributions were recognized by D Magazine, which included him in their all-time All-Dallas high school football team.
