Zenka Dianowa is a Bulgarian pianist born on February 9, 1971, in Gabrowo. She began her piano lessons at the age of three and studied at the State Music Academy in Sofia. After moving to Canada in 1998 to continue her studies at the University of Victoria, she focused on contemporary music, premiering works by various composers. Dianowa pursued a PhD under Tamás Vesmás at the University of Auckland, where she has been teaching since 2006. She has recorded for radio in Bulgaria, Canada, and New Zealand.
