Zerbanoo Gifford is a British writer and human rights campaigner of Indian Zoroastrian origin. She is the honorary director and founder of the ASHA Foundation, and also serves as the President of the World Zoroastrian Organisation. Gifford was brought to Britain from India at the age of three, and she received her education at various institutions, including Roedean School and the London School of Journalism. Her first book, The Golden Thread, was published in 1990.
