Zhanna Aghamiryan (1936-1975) was an influential Armenian artist and art critic known for her role as the founder and first director of the Yerevan Children's Gallery, the first children's art museum in the world and the Soviet Union. Established in 1970, it played a significant role in artistic education for many, including notable artists such as Sergey Rubenyan. In 1978, the gallery was renamed the Children's Art Museum and later became part of the National Centre for Aesthetics. Tragically, she died in a plane crash.
