Zheng Fengrong is a former Chinese high jumper born on May 25, 1937. She set a world record of 1.77 meters on November 17, 1957, in Beijing, using a technique called the 'pole shoe' which was banned the following year by the IAAF. Her personal best jump of 1.78 meters was achieved on June 26, 1963, in Nanjing. Her grandchildren, Ty and Nina Schultz, who were born in Canada, represented their grandmother's homeland in the Olympics.
