Zhang Zhenglang (1912-2005) was a prominent Chinese historian who contributed significantly to the fields of paleography and textual history. After graduating from Peking University in 1936, he worked at the Academia Sinica, where he evacuated precious historical texts during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Despite facing political challenges, including being fired during the Anti-Rightist Campaign, he continued to influence historical scholarship, particularly on the I Ching. His academic works were compiled posthumously, although he never published a book himself.
