Zhong Hanhua, also known as Yuexian, was born in January 1909 in Wan'an, Jiangxi. He joined the Chinese Communist Youth League at the age of 15 and later the Chinese Communist Party. He participated in many military roles during the Chinese Civil War and was involved in the Long March. Post-liberation, he held various significant positions in the People's Liberation Army and regional military committees until the Cultural Revolution, which affected his career. He was appointed as a military leader and served as a representative in several key National People's Congress sessions.
