Zhong Ling, born in 1945 in Chungking, Szechwan, is a Taiwanese-Chinese writer, critic, educator, and translator. She relocated to Taiwan with her family in 1950. Her education spans several institutions, including Tunghai University and the University of Wisconsin. Zhong has held teaching roles at various universities, including SUNY Albany and Hong Kong Baptist University, where she became chair professor and Dean of Arts. She founded the International Workshop and has translated significant Chinese poetry collections. Zhong was married to director Hu Jinquan from 1977 to 1991.
