Ziad Khaddash is a Palestinian writer born in Jerusalem in 1964. He hails from the village of Beit Nabal in 1948 and currently resides in Al-Jalazun Camp near Ramallah. He earned a bachelor's degree in Arabic literature from Yarmouk University in Jordan in 1989. Khaddash teaches creative writing at schools in Ramallah and has published twelve collections of short stories. His collection 'The Waiter's Mistake' won the Palestinian State Appreciation Award in 2015, and he was shortlisted in the Literary Forum contest for Arabic short stories in Kuwait in 2015.
