Ziggy Modeliste is an American drummer born on December 28, 1948, in New Orleans. He co-founded the band The Meters in 1965, which disbanded twelve years later but was later revived without his participation. He played with various members under different names and performed with The New Barbarians in 1979, led by guitarist Ronnie Wood. In 2000, Modeliste released his first solo album titled Zigaboo.com, followed by several more solo projects.
