Zinaida Fyodorovna Dragunkina, born on November 21, 1948, in Simferopol, is a prominent Russian politician and state official. She served as a member of the Federation Council from 2005 to 2019, representing the legislative authority of Moscow, and was the Chair of the Committee on Science, Education and Culture from 2011 to 2019. Dragunkina has been a consistent member of the Moscow City Duma across multiple terms since 1997. In 2013, she was honored as a Merited Teacher of the Russian Federation and was also a secretary on a council aimed at child welfare from 2012 to 2017.
