Ziya Yusifzadə was an Azerbaijani politician who served as the head of the Academy of the National Security Ministry named after Heydar Aliyev. He was also the 7th chairman of the State Security Committee of the Azerbaijan SSR from 1980 to 1988. He was born on February 15, 1929, in Nakhchivan and passed away on September 29, 2015, in Baku.
