Zoia Alecu, sometimes written as Zoe Alecu, is a Romanian singer-songwriter, composer, and lyricist born on January 10, 1956, in Bucharest. She debuted as a solo artist in 1973 and is recognized as one of the first female singer-songwriters in Romanian folk music. In 1986, she joined the band Sfinx, continuing her career with Sfinx Experience. Since 2006, she has returned to the stage as a solo artist, releasing four albums to date.
