Zoltán Farkas, born in 1964, is a Hungarian musicologist and music critic. He obtained degrees in musicology and music literature education from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. He worked as a research scientist at the MTA Institute of Musicology from 1987 to 2006 and has been a music critic for various publications. Farkas served as the editor-in-chief of Bartók Radio from 2006 to 2010, founding the program Zenebeszéd in 2009. His research focuses on 18th-century Hungarian music and contemporary Hungarian composers.
