Zury Mayté Ríos Sosa is a former Guatemalan politician born on January 24, 1968. She is the daughter of Efraín Ríos Montt, a former president of Guatemala. Ríos began her political career supporting her father amid genocide accusations and served four terms in the Guatemalan Congress from 1995 to 2012. During her tenure, she chaired the Foreign Relations Committee and contributed to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, where she led the Latin American Group. She was also a presidential candidate for the VIVA party in the 2015 elections.
