A. Asokan, also known as Nagai Asokan, is an Indian politician who served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Tamil Nadu. He was elected twice as a DMK candidate from the Tiruvarur constituency in 1996 and 2001. In 2006, he left the DMK due to being denied candidacy for the elections and joined AIADMK, where he was appointed Special Representative of the Tamil Nadu Government in New Delhi in 2011. In 2019, Asokan rejoined the DMK after quitting AIADMK.
