He participated in literary clubs and excelled in linguistics, contributing to Arabic grammar studies. Matar authored works in jurisprudence, Islamic teachings, and poetry. He also played a significant role in academia, teaching Arabic sciences and guiding many students. He passed away in Najaf, where he was buried, and a memorial was held in his honor at the College of Jurisprudence.
