He held a significant role in the Norwegian Employers' Confederation and later served as secretary and director at G.C. Rieber & Co. From 1974 to 1990, he was the CEO of Storli. In addition to his business endeavors, he chaired the Bergen branch of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association and was a board member of IS-Banken.
