Ahmet Tekdal was a Turkish politician and bureaucrat, born on February 6, 1931, in Ağrı. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University and became the founding chairman of the Welfare Party (Refah Partisi), serving as its first chairman from 1984 to 1987. Tekdal was a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly representing Ankara from 1995 until 1998. After the closure of the Welfare Party, he continued his political career in the Virtue Party (Fazilet Partisi) and later in the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi) until his death on June 2, 2020.
