Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was a Bangladeshi politician and a four-time elected member of the National Parliament. He was a member of the Awami League's presidium and served as the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Jute and Textiles in the Ninth National Parliament. In recognition of his significant contributions to independence and the Liberation War, he was posthumously awarded the Independence Award in 2021.
