Alberto Marcos Martín is a Spanish historian born on May 21, 1953, in Buenavista de Valdavia, Palencia. He is a professor of Modern History at the University of Valladolid and a corresponding member of the Royal Academy of History. From 2006 to 2008, he served as the director of the Simancas Institute of History. His specialization lies in the social and economic history of the Spanish monarchy during the 16th and 17th centuries. He has been a member of the Tello Téllez de Meneses Institution since May 30, 2003.
